The Institute of Maritime Logistics at Hamburg University of Technology specialises in the planning, design, and control of material and information flows in the context of global maritime supply chains. The institute focuses on teaching and researching the economic, ecological, and security-related requirements of maritime logistics. An essential part of our work is the methodical investigation and development of concepts and solutions for maritime logistics processes. We co-operate with national and international research, as well as industrial partners in pursuit of this mission.
The aim of the institute is to innovate national and international maritime logistics processes and promote sustainability. We utilise scientific methods and modern technologies to constantly expand the state of research and its applications. The results are incorporated into our practice-oriented courses to enhance students' technical and scientific skills. We aspire to make a positive contribution to society, science, and professional practice while acting in accordance with good research practice and the TUHH mission statement.
