Android (up to version 10)

These settings only apply to students and employees of the TUHH. Students of other universities please use the settings of their university, also with us at the TUHH.

Please make sure that the eduroam network is not yet configured on your device. If necessary, remove eduroam from the saved networks using the Do not remember button.

  1. Please remove any existing eduroam configurations first.
  2. With an existing internet connection (mobile data/your wi-fi at home) you can download and install the "eduroam CAT" App of "GEANT Association" from the Google Play Store.
  3. By opening https://cat.eduroam.org/ or by searchinf for "Hamburg University of Technology" in the app, you can reach the configuration profile of the TUHH.
  4. Open the profile with the "eduroam CAT" app and follow the instructions.

The MAC address randomization features as Default affects the Wi-Fi experience.

Please pay attention to the following settings:
Apple: Wi-Fi > eduroam > Private Wi-Fi-Adress > disable with slider > ignore privacy warning
Android: Wi-Fi > eduroam > Show more > MAC-Adresstyp > Phone MAC

Questions/Support

Please make sure that your device has the latest patches installed, that you are not using more than one anti-virus program and that no "unblocker" is active.
(Unblocker are programs which can unlock content, that is blocked in one country, but not another.)

The WLAN Consultiung will take place on the following dates. Further dates will be announced soon:

  • tuesdays: 10:00am - 1:00pm
  • wednesdays: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
  • thursday: 1:30pm - 4:30pm
