The course will take place from 7 to 18 September 2026; 9 am - 2 pm. The course is free of charge. It is an online course and takes place via Zoom.

The target group for these courses are international students who have been admitted to the Bachelor's program at TUHH.

International students from other study programs may be considered if there are available places.

To register in the preparatory course, prospective students must complete the registration process and provide proof of their accepted admission to TUHH. The registration can be completed via an online form. 

When registering, please let us know your currant German Level (A1–B1). After reviewing all registrations, we will determine the class levels and group participants according to demand. Beginner with no knowledge of German do not need a placement test.

Seats are limited.

This German prep course are not part of the degree program. It is an optional offer to prepare you for your studies and living in Hamburg. Enrollment for the degree programs must be done separately. 

No ECTS credit points are awarded for participation. Completion of this preliminary German course does not replace participation in a semester-long German course (IBH), which is a prerequisite for graduation.

Participation in the course does not automatically fulfill the enrollment requirements for studying at TUHH. No claims for enrollment can be derived from attending the course.
