Applications are open! Pursue your master's degree at TU Hamburg – find out when and how to apply.

By us, for us: Shaping society - learning.

Society is a dynamic co-operation of people who work together to develop visions, find solutions and shape the future. With this degree programme, the TUHH wants to empower you to help shape society: Critical, reflective, responsible and committed to democratic public spirit.

But what does it mean to shape society? How do you gain confidence in your ability to do so? What does taking responsibility mean in practical terms? And what would technical expertise be without the ability to differentiate? Between technically good execution and good realisation in the sense of a democratic public spirit?

At a time when technological innovations are often advancing faster than social discourse, it is the task of non-technical teaching and its associated courses to create spaces for reflection and dialogue with the help of interdisciplinary perspectives. In addition to traditional courses, we also offer two special learning venues: In social learning seminars, you will learn by interacting with people in community spirit and democracy-promoting projects outside of your specialised technical studies. And beyond teaching, a small budget supports your social interventions during your studies: help shape society with action art, networking or special learning projects, for example.

Come to our non-technical seminars, delve into questions of diversity, discover places of learning outside the university and initiate your own projects.

We will support you.

The path to a language course
