The vast majority of our courses and course places are allocated via the general placement procedure. Some special or additional courses have different admission procedures. These are listed in the link and below in the text.

Around 90 NTA courses at TUHH alone, spread across the campus and TUHH locations, on weekdays, weekends, at different schedules, in different formats, sometimes block seminars, sometimes ongoing courses... Cancel culture, sad girl theory, or staring as a political practice? Let yourself be surprised by the courses offered by the Center for Gender & Diversity! The course catalog expands the range of courses offered in the NTA modules. The registration procedures are described in the course catalog. Completed courses are simply recorded in the NTA module. They can also be used for the Gender Competence and Intersectionality & Diversity certificates.

The language courses at TUHH are part of the non-technical course catalog. Before booking a language course, you need to take a placement test. You can then register and enroll in the appropriate course via the language course websites. Crediting credits is straightforward. The number and scope of credits that can be credited are specified in the NTA module catalog. 

First learn, then gain experience: Before the semester starts, the Center for Teaching and Learning offers tutor training courses for students who want to transition from being learners to tutors. These NTA courses are not assigned through the central registration process. 

The same applies here: first learn, then gain experience—this time in supervising students. robotik@tuhh offers the opportunity to train as a tutor for robotics courses at schools during the summer semester. These NTA courses are not allocated via the central registration process.

Under the title “Personal Competence Development,” you will find courses in the NTA module catalog that are primarily intended for dual students. Places on these NTA courses are not initially allocated via the NTA registration process, but via the dual@TUHH coordination office. If any places become available later, we will inform you immediately.

It helps us to question things that we probably never questioned before. Why do we keep doing this or that the exact same way?"

Select social learning courses from the NTA module catalog in the placement process. As part of these courses, your commitment of 40-50 hours will be supported with addresses of places where you can get involved—or do you already have your own ideas? The lecturers will accompany you in reflecting on your experiences and later guide you in writing your final report (10-20 hours, including writing the report).
