Research in the School of Mechanical Engineering

The research of the institutes from the Dean's Office of Mechanical Engineering covers the areas of aeronautics, maritime technologies, medical systems, energy technology, new and smart materials, product development and production management.

Within the TUHH research organization, the different areas work together in an interdisciplinary manner in five different research fields. Of these, the research of the members of the Mechanical Engineering Dean of Studies can be found in all five research fields.

In addition to the application-related research fields, another part of the research is the development of the scientific methods in many areas of the TUHH in the foreground, the so-called Methods of Research in Science and Engineering @ TUHH.
