Linux pools and HPC have been shut down

Due to the third serious privilege escalation vulnerability in the Linux kernel within three weeks, the Linux pool PCs and the HPC are temporarily unavailable.

Due to the third critical privilege escalation vulnerability in the Linux kernel within three weeks, the Linux pool PCs and the HPC are temporarily unavailable.

As soon as a patch is available and has been applied, we will restore service.

This article is being updated continuously.

Update as of May 18, 2026: Updates for AlmaLinux are now available. The HPC will be available again later today. The Linux pools will remain closed until Red Hat releases an update.
