Department 4: Research, Transfer and Early Career Researchers

The main task of the department is to create optimal conditions and frameworks for all research activities at TU Hamburg. This is also to pursue the goal of maximizing the impact of research on industry and society and optimizing its public visibility.

The department actively supports scientists in acquiring research and innovation projects from international, national, public and private funding sources. The Central Facilities of TUHH provide the relevant modern infrastructure.

Furthermore, the central tasks of the department include the promotion of early stage scientists and advice on knowledge and technology transfer, as well as IP management and foundation.

The team advises the Executive Board on the development and implementation of Hamburg University of Technology’s research and transfer strategy. In doing so, it maintains an overview of the goals pursued by key figures in close cooperation with the other departments of the university administration.
