Instructions to password change

On this page you will find instructions on how to change your password. You need to change it if it is the initial password or because your password is already being used for 180 days. Under these circumstances, you can change your password yourself, online or in a TUHH Windows pool.

If you have forgotten your password, please contact the USC and bring your photo ID. As an alternative you can or contact the USC by email to servicedesk(at)tuhh.de and attach a good legible color scan of both sides and a private email address for correspondence.

You will receive an e-mail in time in advance to your TU-mail in time if you have to change your password.

Problems after password change

If you have problems with external programs (e. g. Windows Mail) or if you can no longer log in to the TUHH pages, please check the following things:

  • After you have changed your password, you have to enter your new password in external programs, like mail programs or password managers.
  • If you are unable to log in to TUHH services with your password, you may have mistyped when entering your new password. If you are using a password manager, find out your actual password and change your password again according to instructions.
  • If you don’t remember your old password or if you typed it, please contact the USC and have your password reset. You will need your photo and student ID. You can also contact the USC via email.
