The Section Incoming of the Department International Affairs is a service and contact point for international students, PhD students, exchange students from partner universities and guest researchers.
Take advantage of our programs and offers to make your stay at TUHH successful:

We support the exchange students from partner institutions in all steps of their exchange stay at TUHH.

The Welcome@TUHH program supports international students in starting their studies and integrating into campus life. The program aims to provide information on study-related topics, promote exchange among students, and offer opportunities to explore Hamburg and the surrounding region together.
An experienced team of student tutors provides individual support, an introduction and cultural program, as well as regular information and networking events.

We support students to gain and improve their German language competency (DAF) by organising German language courses at TUHH as well as various additional activities and platforms for intercultural learning and exchange outside the curriculum.

Our goal is to foster intercultural exchange on TUHH Campus as well asto promote respectful and tolerant dialogue among all students.
Our programs offer plenty of (inter)cultural activities, International Get Togethers, as well as trainings and workshops to help the students to expand professional, personal and language skills important for study and future career.

Feel like art, creativity, and new encounters? In the Art & Culture Lab, you can paint, design, discuss, and get creatively inspired with others.
Whether workshops, exhibitions, or your own projects – there's space for your ideas here. And the best part: everything's free for TUHH students and staff!

We would be happy to advise you on scholarships and funding options, e, g,:
Merit scholarships for international students financed from sources of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg

We offer general orientation to help international researchers organise their stay at TUHH. We support them with information on the contact points as well as with practical tips on topics related to living at TUHH and in Hamburg.

We support refugee students and scientists in emergency situations with information and services.
