The tutor-assisted cooperation projects of TUHH’s Student Counseling Center and the specialized institutes are aimed at second- and third-semester students who have to retake basic math and mechanics exams. In the Repetitorien plus revision courses students receive subject-related support, incentives to work continuously, and coaching to promote self-management and reflection on learning strategies. The aim is, for one, to improve exam retake success rates and, for another, to enable students to see failure in individual subjects as an opportunity to cope with failure and strengthen their self-esteem.
