The “International Congress on Biocatalysis (biocat2026)” is part of a biennial series of events that brings together the fields of biology and chemistry and appeals to researchers from the life sciences, engineering and computer science. This international congress offers scientists from all over the world the opportunity to network, seek collaborations for future projects and gain insights into current topics and innovative techniques. Biocat covers a broad spectrum of topics in biocatalysis, including the discovery, evolution and applications of enzymes. In addition to the programme covering various scientific fields, there will be an exhibition on industrial applications, and outstanding work in the field of biocatalysis will be awarded (biocat award).
The conference is chaired by Prof. Liese (Institute of Technical Biocatalysis), with Prof. Heins (Institute of Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering) and Prof. Gescher (Institute of Technical Microbiology) serving as co-chairs.
