The new institute will be headed by Prof. Löffler, who is coming to TU Hamburg on a five-year Heisenberg Fellowship. Prof. Felix Löffler is a specialist in array technologies and 3D printing, combining these fields with the use of catalytically active materials. His work involves developing new materials using processes in which molecules are synthesised with light and formed into high-precision materials. Research at the new institute combines interdisciplinary basic and applied research with the aim of providing innovative materials and surfaces, that can be used in biomedicine, catalysis and optical technologies.
