In the spring of 2026, Maximilian Nagel, a student at Professor Smarsly’s Institute for Digital and Autonomous Construction (IDAC), took part with great enthusiasm in the 33rd AEC Global Teamwork event, held in the unique academic setting of Stanford University, and won all three challenges together with his team. The two one-week stays in California were a very intense experience for him and enabled productive and successful digital networking and collaboration within an international and interdisciplinary team. A detailed report on this success can be found here.
The IDAC has now been invited to take part in Stanford University’s AEC Global Teamwork Programme in 2027 as well. TUHH students who would like to take advantage of this exceptional opportunity for international and interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as to experience first-hand the unique academic environment at Stanford, can apply to Mr Al-Zuriqat at thamer(dot)al-zuriqat(at)tuhh.de. Students selected through the selection process will receive financial support for a trip to Stanford University as part of the programme.
Further information on the AEC Global Teamwork Programme is available on the IDAC website or directly on the PBL Stanford website.
