As every year shortly before Christmas, the topping-out ceremony of the BaU student council took place on December 3. Imaginative structures were built from edible building materials such as speculoos cookies, gingerbread, gummy bears, frosting, and much more, based on this year's motto, “When statics becomes a matter of taste.” In groups of 3-5 students, the participants designed and constructed their creations with great fun and skill, accompanied by music and Christmas delicacies. The jury consisted of professors and staff from the Dean's Office. At the end, the three best structures were awarded prizes and then eaten. The winning team was “Die Knusperkonstrukteure” (The Crunchy Constructors). Congratulations!
Once again, everyone involved had a lot of fun. The Dean's Office of Civil and Environmental Engineering would like to thank its student council for organizing the event and wishes everyone a merry and delicious Christmas season!
