Erasmus traineeship

Requirements for Erasmus funding for an internship

  • Enrolment at the TUHH
  • An internship lasting at least two months in countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme
  • Good knowledge of the working language (minimum B2 level) and personal suitability
  • Confirmation of the internship placement
  • Recognition (the internship will be recorded on the student’s Transcript of Records and in the Diploma Supplement)

Responsibilities as an Erasmus intern

  • Taking out accident and liability insurance, if this is not arranged by the host institution (e.g. via the DAAD group insurance scheme)
  • Submitting all documents required for Erasmus+ in a timely and proper manner, including the Learning Agreement Before Mobility. (We will provide you with the templates during the application process).
  • Write an experience report, including photos, which will be used for the programme’s application after the placement has ended

Monthly payments & financing - current project (2025)

for mobility periods starting and taking place between July 2026 and May 2027:

  • xxx € /month, Country Category 1 (DK, FI, IE, IS, LI, LU, NO, SE)
  • xxx € /month, Country Category 2 (BE, FR, GR, IT, MT, NL, AT, PT, ES, CY)
  • xxx € /month, Country Category 3 (BG, EE, HR, LV, LT, MK, PL, RO, SK, SI, CZ, TR, HU)
  • Self-organised language courses in the host country immediately prior to the programme may be funded at the standard daily rate
  • Supplement for sustainable travel: daily rate funding for up to 6 additional travel days required; travel costs???
  • Supplement for disadvantaged students: €250 per month (special conditions apply)
  • Payment in 2 instalments: 80% upon arrival, 20% upon return

Deadline for ONLINE APPLICATIONS: 10 weeks before the expected start date of the placement (completed application form).
