Housing Advice Service

In cooperation with Studierendenwerk Hamburg, we allocate a limited number of rooms in its residence halls to international exchange students from our partner universities.

International students pursuing a full Bachelor's or Master's degree at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) are requested to apply directly to Studierendenwerk Hamburg for accommodation.

Finding accommodation in Hamburg

The application period for rooms for prospective international exchange students for Summer Semester 2026 will run from 15 November 2025 until 15 December 2025.

Please note that we can not give you any guarantee that you will receive an offer for a room because of the high number of applications every year.

Erasmus and overseas exchange students from partner universities for the upcoming semester

First, please complete your application for your exchange studies at TUHH in the portal Mobility Online.
Please follow this link to fill out and send the Online-form for the rooms application. Please use the same email address and your first name and your last name as you have used for the application for your exchange studies at TUHH in Mobility-Online!
You will receive an email with information where you have to re-login to Mobility-Online. Do not register again. Use the link provided in the email and use the same username and password for login which you have used to access your exchange studies application.
In Mobility-Online on the left side menu, under "My Application Data", click "Selection of the used application". You'll see your exchange student application and your rooms application.
Put a check mark behind the rooms application and click the button "select application".
Please complete all required steps to complete your application for rooms.
