A big thank you to Stefan Pirker from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz Linz for visiting us this week!
As part of the CRC 1615 SMART Reactors - TUHH seminar series, Stefan gave an inspiring talk on real-time recurrence CFD (rCFD) simulations, digital twins, and the integration of simulation and process control, which sparked lively discussions across the CRC community.
The visit provided a great opportunity for scientific exchange on particle technology, multiphase flows, process imaging and modeling, and simulation. We enjoyed many inspiring discussions, gained valuable insights into each other's research activities, and explored exciting ideas for future collaborations.
Beyond science, we also had a fantastic time together during shared dinners and a boat tour through the Port of Hamburg, making the visit both scientifically and personally enriching.
We highly value our long-standing collaboration with Stefan and look forward to continuing this successful partnership in the future.
