Additionally the SPE is cooperating with the Institute of Thermal Process Engineering at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg to offer course on drying technologies. This course is held in Magdeburg by Prof. Tsotsas and Prof. Heinrich. 

The announcement for the 2024 course:

After eight successful university courses we offer again in 2024 the university course "Drying - Fundamentals and Applications":

From Monday, 18th of March 2024, to Thursday, 21st of March 2024, we offer in cooperation with GVT (Forschungs-Gesellschaft Verfahrens-Technik) a three-day University Course on Drying Technology in Magdeburg. The purpose of the course is to provide the essentials of modern drying technology to the participants in a broad but compact way, close to practice. Additionally important issues such as dryer design, monitoring gas and product moisture and reducing the energy demand of drying processes will be discussed. This course contains lectures, as well as laboratory work (demonstration of experimental methods and equipment) and tutorials (e.g. guided evaluation of measured data and the application of modern computational tools for dryer design).
