Graduation Ceremony 2026

We warmly invite you to our Graduation Ceremony on June 12, 2026.

All graduates whose academic achievements are fully recorded by the end of February are invited to our Graduation Ceremony on June 12, 2026, at 4 p.m. The Graduation Ceremony takes place twice a year to honor all students who have successfully completed a degree at TUHH. The ceremony provides a dignified setting to celebrate personal success together with family and friends. Following the presentation of the certificates of achievement (around 6:45 p.m.), there will be a champagne reception in the foyer of the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle. The event concludes at 8 p.m.

Who is invited?

All graduates who have successfully completed their Bachelor’s (B.Sc.), Master’s (M.Sc.), or Doctorate degree are eligible to participate. Requirements:

  • No outstanding exam achievements
  • Degree fully recorded in the university system*
  • Please make sure that we have your current postal address so that you receive the invitation.
  • Each graduate has the opportunity to register two accompanying persons.

This means specifically:

  • If your achievements are recorded by the end of February, you can participate in the Graduation Ceremony in June (June 12, 2026).
  • If your final achievements are recorded between March 1 and August 31, participation in the event in November (November 13, 2026) is possible.

Registration

Graduates and up to two accompanying persons can register from March 18 to May 13, 2026, or while places are available. Registration is done via our online form, which will be activated starting March 18, 2026.

For questions, please contact: graduationceremony(at)tuhh(dot)de

*Note: Graduates who completed their degrees several years ago and could not attend their ceremony at that time for special reasons can only participate under certain conditions. Please contact us directly by email. We review all registrations and reserve the right to exclude persons who registered incorrectly (e.g., due to missing ECTS or a degree completion date that is too far in the past) in order to prioritize available places for the current graduation cohort.

FAQ

1. Who can participate in the Graduation Ceremony?

All students who have successfully completed their B.Sc., M.Sc., or doctoral degree and whose degree is fully recorded in TUNE are eligible to participate. No outstanding examination requirements may remain.

2. Do I need to have my diploma certificate already?

No. What matters is that all achievements are recorded and the degree is registered in the system. The physical diploma does not need to be present to participate.

3. How and when can I register?

Registration is done via an online form, which will be activated at the beginning of March for the June event and at the beginning of September for the November event.

4. How many accompanying guests may I bring?

Each graduate may register up to two accompanying guests. Additional guests cannot be accommodated for organizational reasons.

We have adjusted the schedule so that the official part of the event is expected to conclude by 7 p.m. at the latest, allowing guests to continue celebrating privately afterwards with an extended circle of family and friends, for example at a restaurant or another location.

5. I graduated several years ago. Can I still participate?

Participation is only possible under certain conditions. Please contact us directly at graduationceremony(at)tuhh(dot)de.

8. Will photos be taken?

Professional photos will be taken during the event. Information about publication and data protection will be provided on the day of the event and possibly beforehand via email.
