The Hamburg-based company, which has its startup roots at TU Hamburg, demonstrates with its innovative material that it can not only replace plastics on a large scale but also lay the foundation for a new, sustainable industry.

The combination of technological progress and societal benefit is at the heart of the Deutscher Zukunftspreis, one of Germany's most prestigious science and innovation awards. It honors projects that combine scientific excellence with clear benefits for society, the environment, and the economy. The nominees significantly contribute to shaping the future of Germany as an innovation hub, unlocking economic potential, which in turn helps create new jobs. The award ceremony will take place on November 19, 2025, in Berlin and will be broadcast live on ZDF from 10:15 p.m.
