Information about the Society for Pedagogy, Information and Media (GPI)
The Society for Pedagogy, Information and Media (GPI) honors the winners of the Comenius EduMedia Award and the Comenius GreenUp Award for digital educational media. This year, the Society for Pedagogy, Information and Media (GPI) presented the coveted Comenius seals and Comenius medals for the 30th time. Award-winning digital educational media must be designed and implemented according to pedagogical, didactic, aesthetic, and technical criteria. Digital media support teaching and learning not only in schools, but also in the workplace, in training and continuing education, in culture, and in leisure activities. The Comenius Award goes back to the educator Johann Amos Comenius (1592–1670). Comenius was a pioneer of education that was close to the people and appropriate for children, and he promoted the systematic use of images and visual aids for teaching purposes.
