Finding digital tools for your own teaching

With the new Selection Guide, digital tools can be found more quickly.

A new service from the Centre for Teaching and Learning (ZLL) helps you choose the right digital tools for teaching.

Do you want to support collaborative work between students digitally? Or are you wondering how you can make reflections and feedback available to students digitally?

This is exactly where the Centre for Teaching and Learning can now support you with its new and interactive Selection Guide for Digital Tools.

What does the Selection Guide offer?

As a web-based filtering system, the Selection Guide takes you straight to your goal in just a few clicks. Are you looking, for example, for a tool to facilitate group feedback? Select the relevant application area (Giving Feedback & Reflecting) and click on your teaching objective (Facilitating group feedback). Within seconds, the Selection Guide will show you which tools are suitable for your purposes. In addition, for almost every tool you will find a profile with further information, such as additional teaching applications, data protection notices or technical details. The Selection Guide is available in German and English.

Continuous development

The filter system currently comprises 27 digital tools and five application areas covering the most common teaching needs, as well as numerous other features. With your support, the selection guide will be expanded and adapted. So please do provide feedback!

TeachING Appetizer and consultation

On 16 April, our TeachING Appetizer ´Das richtige Tool finden – Digitale Werkzeuge für die Lehre entdecken und ausprobieren´ will take place in german.

You are warmly invited to get to know the new selection guide, try it out together and share your comments and suggestions for additions. There will also be time to test selected tools and exchange experiences with other teachers.

Last but not least: if you are planning to use a specific tool in your teaching and would also like educational support, the ZLL will be happy to advise you. Please contact Stephanie Wichmann.
