How does it work?
The project was grounded in 2011 with the aim to bring both students and employees on TUHH campus together and give them the opportunity to develop their artistic skills within an intercultural group. No matter if you are already experienced or just wish to create your own art: You can let your artistic fantasies run wild! You have the freedom to choose how you put your own creative ideas into practice; painting, drawing and other techniques or interesting styles. If you don´t have a definitive idea of your project, you can get a lot of inspiration from fellow participants or maybe even join their own projects! Anything is possible in this room of creative exchange! You are welcome to join our Art- Workshops which are offered each month during the semester. Every workshop is introduced by an experienced artist who gives us ideas on various techniques and styles. It's not going to be a lecture on what art is or how it should be created. The aim of the workshops is to give you the support and possibility you need to work on your own artistic development. You can continue to work on your projects in the Open studio days offered every Friday during the semester.The works of art and pictures which have been created during Artroom sessions and workshops are shown in the different exhibitions on campus and outside.
ArtRoom offeres as well different events outside of the studio. In the well-loved Urban Sketching Walkshops, you will learn how to sketch in urban style and create your own sketching diary!
