The Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation honored outstanding achievements in the Bachelor's program of Mechanical Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology for the twentieth time in a row this year.
Eleven students were able to celebrate their accomplishments in the field of design theory with individual prizes of 800 euros and 400 euros each, as well as a team prize of 200 euros each. Lukas David took first place in the individual ranking. The second places were awarded to Tom Eschenburg, Ruven Kreft, Florian Krosigk, Agit Tas, and Jakob Nikolaus Balthasar Wagner. In the team category, Melvin Linus Prümm, Niklas Höhling, Leah Schüller, Levi Kruse, Ronald Mathew, and Tom Eschenburg impressed.
The award ceremony was held under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dieter Krause, head of the Institute of Product Development and Mechanical Engineering Design at TU Hamburg. Professor Krause expressed his pleasure about the awards and praised the students for their outstanding achievements and enthusiasm for design and product development. He also thanked the Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation for its long-standing support in promoting young engineering talent.
