This year, the Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation honored outstanding achievements in the Bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) for the 19th consecutive time. Nine students were delighted to receive individual awards of 700 euros and 450 euros each for their work in the field of design theory. Additionally, they received a team award of 200 euros each.
Philipp Hopmann and Samuel Philipp secured the first places for the individual awards; the second places went to Niklas Bartsch, Ilham Hafidz, and Felix Williamowius. In the team category, Samuel Philipp, Gunther Söding, Maurice Fröhlinghaus, Anton Herbst, Philipp Hopmann, and Karl Dietrich Schröder impressed the judges.
The award ceremony was held under the leadership of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dieter Krause, head of the Institute of Product Development and Mechanical Engineering Design at TU Hamburg. Prof. Krause expressed his pleasure at the awards and praised the students for their outstanding achievements during their studies and their great enthusiasm for design and product development. He thanked the Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation for its support in promoting the next generation of engineering professionals.
