This accessibility statement applies to the TU Hamburg website, which can be accessed via the entry link https://www.tuhh.de/tuhh.
TU Hamburg is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities.
Our goal is barrier-free accessibility of this website in accordance with the Ordinance on the Creation of Accessible Information Technology for People with Disabilities (Hamburg Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance HmbBITVO) of September 10, 2019. The HmbBITVO is derived from the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0 of September 12, 2011, amended on May 21, 2019).
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The accessibility requirements are derived from paragraph 1 HmbBITVO in conjunction with paragraphs 3(1) to (4) and paragraph 4 of the Federal BITV, which was issued on the basis of paragraph 11 HmbBGG.
The web presence of the TU Hamburg was revised in 2022. In the process, the guidelines of BITV 2.0 were incorporated into the design and programming.
A corresponding BITV test is in preparation. As soon as the test results are available, they will be published here.
The TU Hamburg has a very extensive web presence of several hundred web pages, which are maintained by a large number of editors. Therefore, errors are not completely avoidable.

If a satisfactory solution has not been found even after you have sent feedback to the above-mentioned contact, you can turn to the conciliation board according to section 13 a HmbBGG. The conciliation board has the task to support an out-of-court dispute resolution in case of conflicts on the topic of accessibility between people with disabilities and public authorities. The conciliation procedure is free of charge. No legal counsel needs to be involved.
Currently, the Ombudsman's Office of the Senate Chancellery is taking over the activities of the conciliation office, which has yet to be established.
