Section assembly and system installation (Sektionsmontage und Systeminstallation - SeMoSys)

The aim of the project of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) presented in this individual description as part of the joint project "Section Assembly and System Installation" (SeMoSys) is to expand the production of individual sections of the Airbus aircraft programs, which is currently located at the first-tier suppliers, by identifying and exploiting the potentials of the advance installation of cabin systems.

The PKT follows the goal of developing a modular product structure in order to achieve advantages in assembly in particular. In this context, a sub-goal for extended section assembly is the methodical development of modular product families to master customer diversity. In addition, lightweight requirements are to be taken into account and connections considered. An intensive exchange between the two topics should enable a holistic view of the boundary conditions for the development of innovative modular product structures for extended section assembly and implement modular lightweight design.
