On 18 June, TU Hamburg celebrates its big summer party and invites you to the campus from 1 pm. This year there will once again be an Alumni Meeting Point, where TUHH President Andreas Timm-Giel will be tapping a keg of Campusperlen beer at 6pm and inviting all alumni to enjoy a glass and a sociable chat. The university festival offers a varied programme of culinary and cultural events with live music on the summer festival stage ranging from country and Schlagerska to funk, pop and rock. The stalls will be grilling, cooking and baking: Visitors can expect savoury and sweet national and international specialities. There will be sports, games and voucher campaigns and lots to explore and discover. The event brings together students, alumni, employees, staff, friends and visitors from the neighbourhood.
The Munich Alumni Chapter is planning a trip to Oberschleißheim in Bavaria on 13 July 2025. The alumni group would like to visit the Flugwerft Schleißheim Museum on that day, time frame 11 am - 3 pm. The meeting point is at 11am at the museum entrance in Effnerstr. 18, 85764 Oberschleißheim. All interested alumni can register by emailing Arsalan Minhas (arsalan.minhas@gmail.com) by 6 July.
Make a note of the date in your diary now: On 19 September, following the silver jubilee celebration of the 2000 graduating class, all former TU Hamburg students are cordially invited to a summer barbecue on campus! After a tour of the campus, the big barbecue will start on the terrace in front of the Learning and Communication Centre (LuK), Building A. On 17 May, TU Hamburg was represented by a strong running team at the Hamburg HafenCity Run and set an example for cohesion, health and social commitment. 29 TU Hamburg alumni also took part in the 4-kilometre charity run. The event was supported by the Alumni Association and the TU Hamburg Foundation, among others. A total of around 20,000 runners from companies and institutions took part in the charity run through Hamburg's HafenCity. More about the HafenCity Run. More about the HafenCity Run.
On 22 May 2025, TU Hamburg alumni met in Mexico City. The group started with an ‘Informal Dinner & Cocktail Networking Meeting’ and exchanged views on topics such as ‘Studying in Germany’ and ‘Business Opportunities for TUHH Alumni in Mexico’. Alumnus Ernesto Rodriguez Leal had invited interested alumni from Mexico to the event.
Alumni Seyhan Türk and Harald Hansen from Hamburg Wasser invited alumni to visit Germany's largest municipal sewage treatment plant on 5 May 2025. Willy Schillberg acted as tour guide and provided the interested audience with lots of technical and background information. He took the participants to lofty heights on top of egg-shaped digesters and down to the sewage treatment plants. The exciting tour ended with a chat over snacks and drinks. A big thank you to Hamburg Wasser for the great programme!
Four professionally successful TUHH alumni shared on 26.11.2024 their individual learnings with regard to starting a career in Germany.
Together with the Northern Institute of Technology (NIT), TU Hamburg celebrated its fifth alumni homecoming on 20 and 21 September. Our silver jubilarians also celebrated their 25th reunion. There was a lot of reminiscing, dancing and laughter. A campus tour and an excellent barbeque rounded off the evening. On Saturday, the festivities continued at the Empire Riverside Hotel.
On 4th September 2024, the Alumni Association of TU Hamburg hosted a technical brewery tour at BRAUWELT Köln. There, the participants were given an insight into the oldest Kölsch brewery in the world. There was a lively exchange between the TU Hamburg alumni and the employees of BRAUWELT Köln.
On March 14, 2024, Vera Lindenlaub and her colleague Nicole Frei (Head of International partnership and strategy) were guests in Istanbul. They not only visited the German school Alkev ÖzeL Okullari but also the TUHH's partner university Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi. The trip was rounded off with a visit to the German Consulate, where they were welcomed by Consul Rüdiger Kappes.

Am 13.12.2023 erklärte uns Professor Tim Schweisfurth, dass Innovationsprozesse heute anders funktionieren als früher. Organisationen können so gestaltet werden, dass Innovation verteilt und kollaborativ gelingen kann. Auch Alumnus Heiko Lübben berichtete von seiner Arbeit in der es ebenso um Innovationsprozesse und die Verbesserung von Organisationsstrukturen und Kollaboration geht und zeigt auf, wie erfolgreich positive Veränderungen für Menschen bewirkt werden können.

In September, Dr. Stephan Buse from the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management met with alumni from Technische Universität Hamburg in Bangalore. The first meeting was met with much enthusiasm and interest in holding regular alumni meetings in India.
