Marius Fiedler studied General Engineering Science (B.Sc.) from 2012 to 2018 at the Hamburg University of Technology. He subsequently continued his studies in Process Engineering (M.Sc) at the Hamburg University of Technology. Marius Fiedler worked from October 2020 until August 2021 at Verbio AG and came back to the Hamburg University of Technology to work as a PhD student in a cooperation project between the Institute of Process Systems Engineering and the Institute of Thermal Separation Processes.

His research focuses on the mechanisms of protein adsorption on organic surfaces. For this purpose, molecular dynamic simulations are used as well as experimental set-ups. The main objective is the development of a molecular dynamic based model, which can be used for the prediction of adsorption isotherms of proteins.
