Dr. Leandros Paschalidis earned his diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2018. He went on to complete a Master’s degree at Imperial College London, followed by a PhD in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at the Straubing Campus of the Technical University of Munich. Before joining TUHH, he briefly worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
Field of research
Dr. Paschalidis's research focuses on reaction systems. During his PhD, he specialized in enzymatic cascade reaction systems, where he developed his core expertise. His interests also span all three major types of catalytic processes—chemical, biocatalytic, and electrochemical—with a particular emphasis on their optimization through model-based selection of reaction conditions and process design.
He is currently involved in the CRC 1615: SMART Reactors for Future Process Engineering.
