Short biography

Francesca von Ziegner studied B.Sc. of Process Engineering from 2014-2018 and M.Sc. of Process Engineering from 2018-2020 at Hamburg University of Technology. She graduated with the master thesis “Model Development, Experimental Validation and Simulation with subsequent Optimization of a 2-Phase Multi-Enzymatic Cascade in Pilot Plant Scale”. Since April 2020, she is working as a research assistant at the Institute of Process Systems Engineering.

Field of research

In her research, Ms. von Ziegner studies a Multi-Enzymatic Cascade for the production of a flavor and fragrance. This biotechnological process is experimentally operated in a Miniplant and theoretically modeled, simulated and optimized.
