HODEPLIO - High-Frequency-compatible Design of planar Ion Traps

The HODEPLIO project is developing planar ion traps, which represent one of the most promising platforms for future quantum computers, with a particular focus on integrating microwave technology. The appropriate supply of high-frequency signals and fields is essential for executing quantum gates and algorithms with qubits based on trapped ions. To this end, the IHF is investigating structures that fulfil this task while taking into account other requirements such as efficiency and scalability. The project partners eleQtron GmbH and the Institute of Microsystem Technology are responsible for the theoretical and quantum mechanical aspects of the project, as well as those related to manufacturing.
