Short Biography

Maximilian Klein first completed his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a specialization in Biotechnology at the RWTH Aachen (2015–2018) . He then pursued a bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology (2018–2021) . Finally, he completed a master’s degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the Technical University Denmark (DTU) in Copenhagen (2022–2024) . In his master’s thesis, he focused on developing machine-learning methods for error detection in fermentation processes.

Field of Research

In his research, Maximilian Klein focuses on developing models for gas fermentation processes. In doing so, he combines classical modeling approaches with machine learning methods to represent these processes more accurately. The goal of his work is to support the control and optimization of gas fermentations through the use of models.
