Short Biographie

Lucas Schaare studied B.Sc. of Process Engineering from 2014 – 2018 and M.Sc. of Process Engineering from 2018 – 2020 at Hamburg University of Technology. He graduated with the master thesis “Experimental investigaton of the residence time distribution and micromixing properties of a millistructural plate reactor”. Since December 2020, he is working as an external Ph.D. student and employee of the company Ehrfeld Mikrotechnik GmbH at the Institute of Process Systems Engineering.

Field of research

Mr. Schaare's research focuses on kinetic modeling and model-based Design of Experiments (MBDoE) for the identification of reaction kinetics in a millistructural plate reactor. The integration of MBDoE into continuous microreactor systems enables efficient kinetic modeling and therefore provides an essential prerequisite for process design and optimization. In his work, Mr. Schaare performs simulations in addition to practical experiments.
