The programme of the annual meeting of the ProcessNet specialist groups Computational Fluid Dynamic, Mixing Processes and Agglomeration and Bulk Solids Technology 2022 includes three presentations by the IMS. The lectures deal with the mixing behaviour of stirred reactors, the following ability of different Lagrangian particles in the bioreactor flow and the simulation of Lagrangian particle trajectories in a 3 L stirred tank reactor.

The January issue of gwf Wasser/Abwasser published the results of Lisa Watters' master's thesis on the hydrodynamic optimisation of a large-scale pumping station to improve sand pumping characteristics.

In the winter semester 21/22, about 60 students of the Master's programme in Process Engineering tried their hand at designing multiphase reactors as part of a problem-based learning project. They presented and discussed the results of their designs in a symposium at the beginning of March.
