Am Freitag, den 21. Mai 2021 um 14 Uhr hält Herr Maximilian Liebert im Rahmen ihrer Promotion einen Vortrag zum Thema "Dynamische Analyse mobiler Offshore-Strukturen in der frühen Entwurfsphase".

Christoph Aberle, wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am VPL, wurde zum Mitglied eines neuen Arbeitskreises der Akademie für Raumforschung in der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft (ARL) ernannt. Der AK Mobilität, Erreichbarkeit und soziale Teilhabe befasst sich mit Erreichbarkeit und ihrer Wechselwirkung mit sozialer (Un-)Gerechtigkeit. Der AK versammelt 13 profilierte Fachleute aus Wissenschaft, kommunaler Verwaltung und NGOs – darunter ist auch unsere ehemalige Mitarbeiterin Gesa Matthes. Die Mitglieder werden das Thema über drei Jahre hinweg beforschen und Empfehlungen für die Raum- und Verkehrsplanung entwickeln. Hintergrund für die Ernennung ist Christoph Aberles Arbeit in unserem Forschungsprojekt MobileInclusion, das sich mit Mobilität und sozialer Ausgrenzung befasst.

The sixth episode focuses on the In the seventh episode of "Füchse der Wissenschaft" Jan and Sebastian invited two new PhD students from the TU Berlin, namely Karin and Tolue. They talk about how to stay motivated, why they use the fungi Aspergillus niger in their subproject HetAn, how to cultivate it and eventually how to characterize and investigate it. Furthermore they focus from now on more on the engineering part, speaking of the general setup of a bioreactor and what growth phases there are in a batch cultivation.

Das Projekt "Collaborative Ideation: Design Methods going Digital" schreitet fleißig voran. Die Hamburg Open Online University (HOOU) bietet dabei die Plattform für neue digitale und interaktive Lehr- und Lernmöglichkeiten. Mit dem Ziel die gemeinsame Lösungsfindung zu komplexen Problemstellungen zu unterstützen, bringt das PKT Methoden und Werkzeuge der Problemlösung und Ideenentwicklung ins Online-Format. Angewendet und ausprobiert wird das Ganze in insgesamt vier Workshopsessions im November. Mehr Informationen zum Projekt findet ihr in unserem zweiten Blogeintrag.

In collaboration with several universities and institutes, we have started field-scale experiments in an area of >70,000 hectare to investigate soil processes at and around the Meteorological Observatory Lindenberg - Richard-Aßmann-Observatorium of the German Weatherservice (DWD) located southeast of Berlin. This field-scale experiment is in the context of FESSTVaL measurement campaign (Field Experiment on submesoscale spatio-temporal variability in Lindenberg). More details about FESSTVaL can be found here. Our institute is particularly interested in understanding of the land-atmosphere interactions. Within this context, in collaboration with Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, we have installed >100 soil sensors (see the figure below) to measure long term dynamics of water content close to the soil surface as well as soil temperature. These data are complemented by a comprehensive set of atmospheric variables measured by other universities and institutes. This will provide us with an excellent opportunity to investigate the complex interaction between processes occurring near soil surface and the atmosphere.

Ziel des vom BMWi geförderten Verbundvorhabens mit den Partnern CompriseTec GmbH und carat robotic innovation GmbH ist die Entwicklung eines Kleinserienverfahrens zur individuellen Formgebung von faserverstärkten Schicht-Halbzeugen. Der Fokus des IFPT liegt unter anderem auf der Entwicklung der Umformstrategie sowie einer digitalisierten Prozesskette zur Planung und Steuerung des Prozessablaufes.
