Our research article titled "Pore-scale characteristics of multiphase flow in heterogeneous porous media using the lattice Boltzmann method" received 2, 521 article downloads in 2019, placing it as one of the top 100 (#16) downloaded physics papers for Scientific Reports in 2019. Scientific Reports published more than 1, 072 physics papers in 2019. In this paper, we investigated pore-scale dynamics of two-phase flow during primary drainage in a realistic heterogeneous rock sample using the lattice Boltzmann method. Within this context, we conducted a series of three dimensional immiscible displacement simulations to not only quantify fluid flow dynamics but also to characterize pattern formations observed during two-phase flow in 3D porous media under different capillary numbers and viscosity ratios.  More details about this work can be found at: Bakhshian, S., Hosseini, S.A., Shokri, N. After one year as exchange student at the Institute of Multiphase Flow, Mrs. Yamamoto will present the results of her research on the distribution of microbubbles in aerated and unaerated stirred tank reactors on Monday, March 9.

Die Software Matlab kann ab jetzt in der Version 2019b verwendet werden. Die Probleme mit dem Lizenzserver konnten behoben werden, sodass diese Version nun stabil auf allen Rechnern laufen sollte.

Wir suchen zum nächstmöglichen Termin eine wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin/ einen wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) im Institut für Konstruktion und Festigkeit von Schiffen.

Aktuell gibt es Probleme bezüglich der Namen von Ordnern (vielleicht auch Dateien), wenn diese Umlaute enthalten. Das äußert sich darin, dass diese Namen in GitLab nicht mehr angezeigt werden und die Spalten "Last commit" und "Last update" nicht sichtbar sind. Ein Workaround ist, diese Zeichen zu ersetzen. Wir hoffen auf eine Behebung des Bugs im nächsten Bugfix-Release.
