Information and Knowledge Flows in Aging User’s Social Networks

This dissertation aims to better understand the social networks of older people. While it is known that social networks of older people changer over time, it is not clear in what way they change and which conclusions can be drawn from this information for marketers. The thesis  will analyze in which kind of networks aging users are typically embedded and which structural similarities these networks share. Based on these findings measures will be developed to better target silver markets with this knowledge at hand. Typical networks as well as the proposed measures modeling  knowledge and information flows will be simulated in order to measure their effectiveness.
