I am working within a collaborative research project together with institutes from process engineering in Hamburg and microelectronics in Freiburg. In our "Project A07" within the Smart Reactors (CRC1615), the focus is on the development of Lagrangian measurement spheres for fluidized bed reactors. The goal is to carry out real-time measurements of coating processes within these reactors, which are used in areas such as the food and pharmaceutical industries. Ultimately, a robotic platform for assisted assembly is to be developed and put into operation.
Within the project, I am confronted with a variety of questions from electrical engineering (PCB design, wireless power transmission, simulation and circuit design), measurement technology (sensor conceptualization, laboratory work), programming (C, C++, Matlab/Simulink, Python), robotics (control, remote control, control engineering), and other fields (CAD design, 3D resin printing), with the depth and intensity of the individual tasks varying greatly.
