This lecture discusses the fundamental concepts of modern Big Data systems. The following topics will be covered in the single lectures:

  • Data models for Big Data
  • NoSQL databases
  • Lambda architecture including batch, speed and serving layers
  • Kappa architecture
  • Concepts and tools for data stream processing
  • Current software tools for the processing of very large amounts of data
