PaxToken - Effortless travelling and smart security using a digital process key

The project's main goal is to create an exemplary implementation of a digitally supported travel process with improved safety and passenger friendliness in the air transport system. This is necessary due to the increasing number of passengers and limited infrastructure expansion possibilities.
In line with advancing digitalisation worldwide, the digital support of passenger processes before the flight, during the flight and after the flight should enable reliable, safe and passenger-friendly processes in the future, which are even more closely aligned with the needs of passengers.

Objectives of the sub-project of the Institute of Aircraft Cabin Systems

The integration of a so-called "PaxToken" as an electronic identity in the door-to-door travel process for the passenger. The goal pursued by the TUHH in the project represents a process and service innovation that meets the challenge of growing passenger numbers and increasing security requirements in air transport. The Institute of Aircraft Cabin Systems contributes to this goal with methods and tools of systems engineering and systems security engineering for a consistent specification for efficient cyber-physical processes in the air transport system.
