Environmental and In-situ Scanning Electron Microscope (EiREM) added to the equipment inventory of BeEM

The Environmental and In-situ Scanning Electron Microscope (EiREM) "Quattro S" from the manufacturer Thermo Scientific is funded by DFG grants and can image samples not only in high vacuum but also in a controlled atmosphere with pressures of up to 40 mbar and at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to 1400 °C. This is particularly useful for research in process engineering and catalysis.
