Motivation
Our part of the joint project is to model, implement, and investigate communication and localization methods for drones (UAVs) in the field of Urban Air Mobility (UAM), with a particular focus on investigating and evaluating their reliability and potential disruptions.
In this context, we will investigate the use of communication parameters or metrics to indirectly derive distances and concentrations of drones in a given area, thus compensating for the failure or disruption of conventional localization methods (such as GNSS) or direct communication.
