Duration:
26.01.2022 – 25.01.2025

Outline:
The project aims to assess critical ice shapes for full-scale ship-ice collision simulations through a combination of experimental and numerical investigations. The objective is to identify potentially critical ice shapes that pose a hazard to ships during collisions with icebergs or ice floes. Experimental data will be used to validate and enhance the Mohr-Coulomb Nodal Split ice model (MCNS) for numerical simulations, allowing for comprehensive full-scale ship-ice collision assessments.
