Overview and purpose

We have been conducting research in the fields of logistics, supply chain management and corporate management for over 25 years. We align our topics with the constantly changing needs in practice and along our core competencies. Our aim is to generate knowledge through scientifically sound research work and in direct exchange with practitioners, which enables companies to design sustainable value chains. Current research work includes the triple transformation in the areas of digitalization, resilience and sustainability as a target function of sustainable value chains.

In our research work, we cooperate with national and international companies and maintain a close exchange and long-standing collaboration with prestigious research institutions. Details can be found in our projects and publications. If you have any questions or are interested in working with us, please contact us.

In our theoretically sound and practice-oriented teaching, we provide students with specialist skills in the fields of logistics, supply chain management and corporate management in order to prepare them for future specialist and management positions and activities in companies. To this end, we use modern teaching methods to also train personal skills. The existing courses are regularly supplemented by external lecturers and guest lectures by practitioners, who pass on valuable experience to the students. Details can be found in the courses.

In specific implementation projects, we support companies in dealing with urgent issues and future challenges. These range from adapting the business model or corporate strategy to developing dedicated transformation paths and supporting the implementation of new technologies and concepts from the socio-technical perspective of people, technology and organization.
