The productivity and the planning reliability of the German shipyards has consequently to be increased to survive at the global market. Especially the planning reliability gains importance for the competitiveness against other market participants.

Based on the outcome of the project “Genesim”, this research project should reach the following aims:

1. Simplify the planning process by reuse and adaption of data.
2. Determine systematically the essential level of detail of the planning to generate a efficient and purposive production. Moreover, it has to be possible to be responsive to deviation of the planning.
