Our research assistant Jan-Peter Heckel attended the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies (IC-REST) in Tirana, Albania, on July 28 and 29. There, he presented a paper "A Concept for Providing Control Reserve in Integrated Energy Systems" from the Institute of Electrical Power and Energy Technology.

The presentation was well-received by the audience and to the great pleasure of the authors the paper received a best paper award.

The 2-day conference focused on the integration of renewable energy generation into existing energy systems using emerging technologies. This topic was discussed in many interesting talks, keynote speeches and presentations.
