Hamburg Construction Day 2025: ‘Climate change and coastal protection’

On 11 June, the FSR BU and Prof. Fröhle's Institute of Hydraulic Engineering invite you to the Hamburg Construction Day at the TUHH.

In addition to two specialist lectures and the honouring of final theses, participating students benefit (free of charge) from good contact opportunities with numerous companies and representatives of the construction industry and the offers of the Career Centre. Please use the registration form to participate free of charge.

The Hamburg Construction Day will open on 11 June 2025, from 09:00 (Building B), with a welcoming address by the President of the TUHH, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Timm-Giel. Two presentations on the title of the Construction Day will follow:

- ‘Coastal protection on the Baltic Sea coast SH after the storm floods of October 2023’ contribution by Dr Jacobus Hofstede from the Ministry for Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature (SH)

- ‘Flood protection in the metropolis of Hamburg’ Contribution by Mr Morten Klöpper from the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture (BUKEA), Hamburg.

The aim of the Hamburg Construction Industry Foundation is to promote innovation and talent. It therefore honours outstanding work and achievements by TUHH graduates with prizes. These are awarded by the board member of the STIFTUNG DER BAUINDUSTRIE HAMBURG, Mr Dipl.-Ing. Christian Weber, Managing Director of HC Hagemann GmbH & Co. KG.

Following the lecture and award ceremony, there will be the opportunity to enjoy a lunchtime snack.

From 12:00 noon, the company contact exchange will take place in the main building of the TUHH (Building A). The participating companies can be found here.
