Last week the we were guests at the Lübbering "Be Technified" Technology Forum. In addition to discover new technologies in the areas of adu drilling screwing and much more we got the chance to contributed to the program by holding talks. Out collegue Malte Flehmke presented some insights into our work with machine learning at the ipmt, giving an outlook of the possibilities using data can open up for manufacturing processes. Our collegue Simon Piontek presented his current work on smart drilling and fastening processes in the research project semosys while dr. jan mehnen presented a past research project regarding smart adu drilling.

All in all we had a great time in herzebrock and are looking forward to the next events.

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the LÜBBERING "Be Technified" Technology Forum in Herzebrock!

This event gave us the opportunity to explore new innovations in areas such as automated drilling, fastening technologies, and much more. It was exciting to see how rapidly the landscape is evolving, and we were honored to contribute to the program as speakers. Here’s a recap of our presentations:

Malte Flehmke presented our pioneering work on leveraging machine learning at IPMT to enhance manufacturing processes. He highlighted how data analytics and AI are opening up new possibilities for smarter, more efficient production systems, and what the future could hold for data-driven manufacturing.

Simon Piontek provided an in-depth look at his research within the SEMOSYS project, focusing on smart manual drilling and fastening processes. His work is set to innovate how these processes are monitored and controlled, improving precision and efficiency across industries.

Dr. Jan Mehnen offered valuable insights by sharing the results of a past research project SmartADU centered on intelligent automated drilling, underscoring the impact of light-automation on streamlining production and optimizing performance.

It was a wonderful experience to engage with fellow professionals and exchange ideas about the future of manufacturing. We’re looking forward to applying these insights to our work and seeing how collaboration within the industry can continue driving innovation forward. Next to the professional discussions, there was also plenty of time for us to socialise and have fun together with social events in the evenings.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and made this forum a success! And special thanks to Thomas Langhorst for the invitation.
