Das Institut für Algorithmen und Komplexität ist ein Forschungsinstitut der TUHH - Technische Universität Hamburg. Es entwickelt effiziente algorithmische Methoden zur Lösung wichtiger Rechenprobleme mit Auswirkungen in Wirtschaft, Ingenieurwesen, Sozialwissenschaften und darüber hinaus. Es bietet den Studierenden der TUHH eine grundständige und weiterführende Ausbildung in den Bereichen Algorithmen, Rechenkomplexität und mathematische Optimierung. Das Institut besteht aus einem dynamischen, interdisziplinär arbeitenden Team, das in verschiedene nationale und internationale wissenschaftliche Kooperationen im Bereich der Theoretischen Informatik eingebunden ist.
IHRE AUFGABEN
- Korrespondenz, Schreibarbeiten und einfache Übersetzungsaufgaben in englischer Sprache
- allgemeine Büroadminstration,Terminkoordination und Organisation der Materialbeschaffung
- Organisation von Dienstreisen inklusive Reiseplanung, -buchung und -abrechnung
- Unterstützung bei der Personalverwaltung u.a. bei der Erfassung von Abwesenheitszeiten, Vorbereitung von Personalanträgen
- Unterstützung bei der Organisation von Veranstaltungen, Tagungen und Exkursionen
- Mithilfe bei der Forschungsorganisation z.B. bei der Projekt- und Mittelverwaltung
IHR PROFIL
Einstellungsvoraussetzung
- erfolgreich abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung zur/ zum Fremdsprachenassistent*in mit der Fremdsprache Englisch oder der Berufsausbildung gleichwertige Fachkenntnisse
ERFORDERLICHE FACHKENNTNISSE UND PERSÖNLICHE FÄHIGKEITEN
- sehr gute englische Sprachkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- sichere und gute Schreibleistungen, sicherer Umgang mit den gängigen MS Office-Anwendungen (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Grundkenntnisse der kaufmännischen Buchführung und der Beschaffung
- Grundkenntnisse der Planung von Dienstreisen und Veranstaltungen
- gute Auffassungsgabe und hohes Organisationstalent
- sicheres Auftreten, Belastbarkeit, Umsicht, Sorgfalt, Einfühlungsvermögen

The Institute for Algorithms and Complexity is a research institute of TUHH - Hamburg University of Technology. It develops efficient algorithmic methods for solving important computational problems with impact in economics, engineering, social sciences and beyond. It provides basic and advanced education in algorithms, computational complexity, and mathematical optimization to TUHH students. The institute consists of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that is involved in various national and international scientific collaborations in the field of Theoretical Computer Science.
YOUR TASKS
- Correspondence, typing and simple translation tasks in English language
- general office administration, coordination of appointments and organization of material procurement
- Organization of business trips including travel planning, booking and accounting
- Support in personnel administration including recording of absences, preparation of personnel applications
- Support in the organization of events, conferences and excursions
- Assistance in research organization e.g. project and funds management
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements for employment
- Successfully completed vocational training as a foreign language assistant with English as a foreign language or specialist knowledge equivalent to vocational training
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL SKILLS
- very good English language skills, both written and spoken
- confident and good writing skills, confident handling of common MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- basic knowledge of commercial accounting and procurement
- basic knowledge of planning business trips and events
- good comprehension and high organizational skills
- confident appearance, ability to work under pressure, prudence, diligence, empathy
